I recently purchased a complete front disc brake set up(original Bendix dual piston) for my 69 Runner. The pistons on one of the calipers is leaking fluid. My first question is, can a rebuild kit be purchased for these 40 year old calipers? Is it easy to rebuild these? Does anybody know where they could be sent for a rebuild? Wanting to keep the car as original as possible.

Thanks,
Tim.

I would say "Yes". Check NAPA, or one of the other local car parts dealers..
You might find that just replacing them is just as cheap, if not just a little bit more.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with these brakes on my 68 RR back when I first got it 27 yrs ago. The constant leaks were a nightmare! The main problem is the piston seal is around the piston and not in a groove in the caliper, so when the piston bore gets pitted from rust no kit in the world will fix it. The caliper must be sleeved. This is what I had done to mine years ago by a Corvette shop before any one knew what these Bendix brakes were. These guys have sleeved calipers available http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/RSeCom...&fName=Rebuilt Calipers&Year=1968&ModelID=114
