Hello,
I’m new here. I have a 69 charger. It is missing 383 engine. I’m trying to get a 440 engine a put 550 horsepower. Any good shops you guys know about ? I’m in Southern California. Trying to make it a daily driver

You got more pictures of the jewel?

Several options for you to get a 440, a lot of guys here pull the engine out of a van or a trailer home, a performance 440 is expensive, for a driver i say a stroker 440.

IMM Engine is a good place to have a motor built.

maybe buy a long-block
(crate engine, I hate that term)
from one of the many suppliers
someone like Mancini Racing
or BluePrint Engines
or maybe even someone like www.440Source.com
or many others
That may end up being the better way to go
instead of searching for old worn-out stuff
paying all the shipping from parts god knows where
& 'god knows' what real kind of condition
until you get them in hand
& being a crapshoot/gamble on what you get,
Then still having to send it to a machinist
(be in machine shop jail for months)
& still buy all the associated parts...

Good luck
