1969 Dodge Coronet 2 door police fleet ordered vehicle / Jurisdiction UNK

Tiny Waverly OH, has a 1967 2 door Coronet cop car displayed outside it's courthouse.

At least they did about a decade ago.

the instrument cluster shows' certified witch is police and fire

the mettle plate on the roof is a support for a rotator light to mount to
That metal plate in the roof
is not for a rotator light
support. It's reinforcement
for the cage screen. If you
look closely at the pic of the
roof skin and interior
support/reinforcement, there
are no holes drilled thru,
also look at the thickness of
of the bracket. That's a little
overkill for just the cherry.
From the looks of this car,
It didn't have a cherry or a
screen installed. Which
leads me to believe that
this car performed the duty
of a detective or a staff car
not seeing cruiser duty.
Also, the black/white paint
schemes during those
times were not factory
paint jobs, as most were
spec'd out as solid black
and the dealerships the
cars were shipped to
would repaint, decal, and
accessorize per the
particular municapalies
requirements.
Detective/staff cars were
usually painted factory
available colors.
As for restoring it? That's
more of a question of how
much time, money, and
effort you're willing to
put into it, and there
becomes a point where
passion overcomes
common sense. That's
where the fun and sense
of accomplishment  comes
into play once it's done.

I built this. I did not care if
the final outcome was less
than expected returns for
what it's actually worth.
It's mine, it runs like the
proverbial "bat out of hell",
and it draws a crowd
where ever it goes.
I say if it peaks your interest
and a vision of where you
think it's final results should
achieve....go for it. Even if
it takes 20 years to get there.
Who gives a crap what it's
worth when your gal is
sitting next to you, and
that 440 is singing it's
song.
