too high? that's vintage 70's look! You must be young :-)

Nope, 55 going on 19 and I never liked 'em that high. (with the exception of Gassers) I was always dragging my header flanges on speedbumps in the 70's. ;)
 
I was 18 in 69 and didn't like them jacked up either. Mine were usually at stock ride height in the front but usually had the back up about 1" from stock. Even my race car was lowered and that was in 84.
