1969 Plymouth RR no AC....where do I locate the water valve ? I spoke to Joe at Heatervalve.net and he knows what the valve looks like, but doesn't know where it is in the car. I know mines isn't operating, I have heat all the time. Anybody can help me find it and get it out ? NON-A/C ....thanks

I do not have one on my Dart, Road Runner doesn't have one either. The Dart has a diverter and dumps the hot air into the cowl? So assuming that the bird does the same thing. My other Dart with A/C does have a water valve. Someone else will get in here, then we'll both know!

No AC, no water valve in 1969. The temperature slider controls a door that regulates the amount of air across the heater core. If the door is completely closed, no air goes across the heater core and no heat inside the car. There are a few possible problems.
1. Temperature cable not adjusted properly.
2. Temperature cable missing.
3. Heater box not sealed properly.
I'm sure there are other possibilities, and also a manual valve can be added to one of the heater hoses, until you locate the problem.

Thanks to all who answered, so I have two sliders , both have cables and are connected. One diverts air from floor to dash (defrost). So there's another door (diverter) to keep the heat out of cabin ? I will start with a reseal and that should solve this.

Detroit Muscle has the kits to restore your heater box. First I would make sure that the temperature slider is completely closing that door.
