1970 mopar 440 6 pack intake setup.
aluminum intake manifold, carburetors, and air cleaner (signed by Dick Landy). tuned and run great, bolt on ready. I replaced the rear carb bowl and fuel lines, still have the original (they come with the sale).
was on my e body but I replaced with an efi throttle body which is why I'm selling. I took it off only a year and a half ago.

willing to ship (at buyers cost) but a pickup is preferred. I'm willing to drive up to an hour and a half to meet up. I'm in wimberley, Texas.

carb codes:
4382 front, date 3149
4383 rear, date 3149
4375 center, date 2629

intake manifold:
CHRY3412046 (with the goofy 6)

asking $4.5k

Yes not a12 set up ....air cleaner is 70/71 type

And the intake does not have the early style goofy 6.....it is the later over the counter intake.
sorry the picture isn't a great angle, hard to get with the carbs bolted on. but the 6 is definitely on an angle and slightly misaligned and the top arch overhangs to the right. easier to see in person. and it's aluminum.

Is there any provenance to back up the claim that it is Dandy Dick's signature - photographs of him signing - or venue date?

I got this setup from my old man so I'll ask him if he has a pic. I was in elementary school at the time, back in the early to mid 90s and can actually faintly remember watching him sign it. I know that's no "proof" to you but it makes me smirk

update: he doesn't have a pic. signature happened in Carlisle, PA around 1992

Air cleaner has the shield indicating it was for a non-fresh air car & the whole front section was sawed off.... Which likely indicates it was on a car with A/C which the vacuum fitting for A/C tends to verify.....

I thought the factory 1970 6 pack intake was cast iron.
yeah, I'm not expert and I've been trying to research to wrap my head around all these historical narratives.
but it's my understanding they did switch the standard to the cast iron that model year but this one was manufactured in late 1969 (November) for model year 1970 while they were still using aluminum, and they switched to cast iron in December so it's from right before the transition period

the one post I found:
  • Transition Period: While aluminum manifolds were used in early 1970 production, most cars built in December 1969 and later were equipped with cast iron.

yes I can verify it was on a 69 charger with AC back in the late 80s and 90s. came off and sat in the garage until it was put on my e body in 2015.
