Apparently...all the vendors have that same batch of oversprayed (white, yellow and green) mess of hoses from China. So.....I've tried to restore my original hoses. Must admit this is harder than I had thought. I've tried masking tape (paint gets under the tape ) and I've tried using a straw with a section cut out. with the hose in the straw...and painting it while pulling it through. FAIL Any ideas on how to restore the colored stripes on the hoses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That's a tricky one....can't offer any better advice, but I am keen to know also now. :icon_thumright:

I'm not a perfectionist....but I'd like to open my hood and not be embarrassed....just something presentable. Oh well...... I appreciate your response.

For now, I just used black hose without any colors. My hoses under the hood were gone, but I had the originals under the dash. The stripes seemed like they were narrower originally than what is reproduced. Plus, the cost for the reproduced hoses is nuts!

Here is a shot of a couple of my original hoses from under my dash. They are dirty and old, but maybe this will help...
