I need to solder on a new 2-wire connector onto the forward light harness for the right front sidemarker. The pigtail on the sidemarker has the correct black wire with yellow trace (exposed male pin) + black wire (female socket), but someone has replaced the sidemarker wires on the right side of the forward light harness with random red and pink wires. I traced them all the way back to where they're wrapped with electrical tape with no change in colors, so I can't tell which one was originally black w/yellow trace and which was black. I need to solder on a new connector to the red & pink wires. Does it matter which is positive and goes to the male exposed pin of the connector, or does polarity not matter if the connector is reversed?

Did you look at the bulkhead connector?
