1970 Charger Grill Assembly with Headlamp Doors

I am not a fan of reproduction parts mainly due to fitment and look issues....However, I am surprised they are not asking more for it....

The cost to manufacture one overall would blow your mind....I cannot imagine how many they have to sell just to break even...

70 grilles are rare and notoriously are cracked above the headlight doors. A NOS one if you could find one is probably double the price and then you still have to restore it...Or a used one that needs repair between the cost of the grille, professional repair and don't forget shipping...It is probably over the price of the new one.

Wow, wondering if I should rethink this Mopar thing...

I don't disagree that original is better, and being in manufacturing, I can guarantee that the cost to manufacture these with tooling amortized is astronomical. Especially considering your target potential sales for a 1 year only part is very small. But I do occasionally see these for less than this repro in really good condition.

That being said, I'd gladly take mine out of the car, sell it for $4000 and buy a repop; leaving me $2000 for another project!!

I do not disagree....but you have one versus someone who has been searching forever....

Me personally, if I couldn't get NOS I would buy a used one and get it restored....they always fit and look right...

Hey - At least someone is trying to make them. Now if we can get 70 Hoods and fenders made......

Now you hit the right thing....Hood and fenders for a 70, that's the ticket!

That is what scares me the most about fixing my car, are the hood and Fenders good enough for a restore?
I would be on the hunt for spares just in case...You can always sell them or keep them...

Wow, I would make the effort to plastic weld & repair my own grille even if it took two broken grilles to make one good one before I could afford to pay that much for a repro that may not even fit or look correct.
