1970 charger stone guard removal/help please

It looks like it was installed with rivets,my back shield had bolts. Do I just drill them? thanks

You will have to drill those out. Mine had hex-headed self-tapper screws.....looked like they were correct to me.

Looks like someone had trouble finding screws for your car Dave.

Those are riveted. I removed mine and never put them back on.
 
Rivets or Screws at the factory

I have seen both on factory unrestored cars

Went through this with my 1971 Superbee

I've read that the second shield above with the linkage at the bottom was only for automatic transmission equipped cars.
 
#11 or 3/16 drill. Some were riveted, some were screwed. My Bee was riveted on the drivers side and screwed on the passenger!
 
My early build 69 GTX had rivets. The repop splash guards come with rivets as well.
