I really like the 1970 Coronets as well, along with the 68 and 69's. The angry looking front end is great. I never understood what was going through Chrylsers mind when they changed the coronets in 1971 to the far less attractive"fuselage" body design. The fuselage cars seemed like a big step backwards in my opinion. Compare a 1969 Satellite to the 1969 Fury 3 and the Satellite beats it by a mile. I am guessing most people agree since I see fuselage cars for sale cheap and they never seem to sell.

B body "fuselage" design was proven to be superior in wind tunnel testing.

It also presented a similar design as the 1968-1972 gm intermediates and the 70/71 ford intermediates.

Also, the changeover from the second "half" of the 4 year body style (66/67-68/69) was delayed a year by union strikes, so the 70 was a last minute "extension".

You can't really compare a 69 B body to a 69 C body.

I personally like the C and D body "fusi" body cars.
