For awhile, I was looking for a truck to have fun with being that they were cheap and I knew alot of people with old trucks, I had no idea I would get a sweet mopar muscle car.
Last June while at work, my father tells me about a car our friend has that he wants to sell us. A 1970 dodge coronet R/T convertible. He got the the car back in 2001 and stripped it down and had the body work done and than it sat while he worked on other projects. As soon as I learn about the car's existence I looked online to see what it looks like restored. It was love at 1st sight, the bumper itself was enough to for me to get it haha.
Finally worked out a deal and the coronet was delivered to our house in August and i couldn't wait to get to work on it. We have most of the parts including the original engine, automatic transmission and 8 3/4 rearend with 3.55 gears. The engine (440) is seized a d the push rods are bent bad, not ready to get involved rebuilding it yet as I know it's gonna cost alot, luckily we found a 413 BB that'll fit and run for cheap. So at least it'll be a drivable car hopefully by fall.
The pictures while its red and rusty are how it looked when our friend got it, the rest is how it looks when my father and I got it.

My father and I put in so many tedious hour of sanding away the surface rust to prep the car for a new coat of primer and paint.

After a decent coat of paint when put together the front end, the 8 3/4 rear and some coil over shocks for the rear.

I hope that I posted this correctly. Still has so much work left to do, but I love every minute of this, my father teaches me alot when it comes to these old cars and I love the experience and so excited to be able to drive it some day.
