I am looking for the very bottom bushing/ bearing for a 1970 steering column. It basically centers the shaft that goes to the coupler on the steering box at the very bottom of the column.

It’s below the column lock mechanism

On a 69 it is nylon with an indentation and two mounting screws.
The 70 shaft end does not have room for the indent nor the screw holes

My car is a power steering with console shift

This is the lock out lever bearing The one below this one

If there even is one. I am reading there isn’t one that the steering box being fixed is what keeps it centered.

You center the shaft by moving the housing on the fire wall. Once centered you tighten the plate to firewall bolts.
