1970 Coronet Vinyl top moldings?

I have a customer who will be putting a vinyl top on his car once I am done with the body and paint work. I was always under the impression that the cars which came with vinyl tops had different window moldings (shorter) for the vinyl to lay under. Are the moldings all the same (with and without) vinyl tops? Just curious. He will have it installed professionally.

If you are talking the drip rail moldings?Yes they are different and from what I have read the reproductions don't fit to good.The front and rear glass moldings are the same.
