**1970 Dodge Charger STUDENT build!!! matching numbers! (teacher posting)**

Maybe just let the kids decide, take a vote. It's their project right? It could make things more interesting.

If it was a survivor, keeping the original 318 in it would be the way to go. Since it is being restored and nothing is original anymore, you won't hurt the car or it's value by upgrading it. It really comes down to how much time and money you have to invest and what your preference is.

Money talk. Here’s a site showing 70 Charger, sold, by high price first. It will give you an idea what people are paying for these cars. Quite a few of these cars are “Custom” which more than likely started life as small block cars.

Just got it back so we can start!

That was the 318 and 383 K member. While technically a 440 fits the K member, the 440 cars got an almost identical K member that had a skid plate welded to the bottom.
I have the .....90 K member in both of my cars.

Another lesson the students could learn from by taking examples from many of us. You want to do..., but you only have X amount to work with. Figure out a plan that works with the budget.

Does anyone out there have seat covers in stock? We have been talking to Legendary and its months out for a split front bench. Just about to order a good amount of stuff to get us going!

Put your order in with Legendary so the waiting can begin. There are no other manufacturers of seat covers that are any good imo.

It is a piss poor situation where seat upholstery is concerned...waiting so long for the only game in town.

If you want a new engine bay/under dash harness with new ignition... I've been told Evans wiring.

Is there anywhere to purchase specific parts or places to stay away from?

Evans does great OEM type harnesses. I've bought from him.

Evan's doesn't make dash harnesses, they do make headlight/taillight & engine harnesses.... With mixed results.... I've used three, not by choice, one bad experience was enough, but I work on other peoples cars so, I get what they buy... Two out of three had issues..... I use M&H harnesses... Even though I prefer not to deal with either of the companies that sell M&H... But sometimes you have to deal with companies you would rather not to get the products you need..

M&H harness' are good. Year One when they have a 30% off sale, or Mega Parts.
