Back in the 1970's, were the air grabbers made of metal or was it like a hard plastic? I was thinking metal but I could be wrong, any info/help would be appreciated

Air Grabber Plymouth {second to last photo is an N-96 Under hood "Air Grabber" for 70 GTX, RR or Ramcharger in the Charger R/T or Super Bee for 1971, completely different, than a N-96 Ramcharger on a Coronet or Super Bee or R/T's in 68-70's} & the Ramcharger is Dodge Nomenclature for the N-96 Fresh Air Option 68-71's & It's a composite material ducting, not metal, some metal pieces, but mostly composite other than the air cleaner base & tops, some of the under hood parts, depending on what body style Plymouth or Dodge & what years...

The 70 Coronet "Air Grabber" with the dual small hood scoops has to be my favorite... I am not sure how well that system, worked, but it did sure look good! That set up on a 440 6 Pack was rated 390 HP....On the Hemi it was said to be 426 2x4 carb at 425 HP but.... I still question that HP on the Hemi as that was a known thumper to the road and adding forced air had to have been a bit more HP then the factory rating......

I had thought the underside equipment for the Air Grabber was sheet metal, that bolted onto the underside Hood supports, but I could be wrong, then again, I'm recalling the factory 1970 part, the "new" parts or aftermarket parts may be composite to lesson weight as that all bolted onto the underside of the hood, I would imagine to have some weight being of all metal construction.
