1970 needs body work (not mine)

I was wondering the same things...

what started the fire ?
someone above said; 'inside a garage fire'

& did insurance cover the value

& hopefully he had agreed/market value insurance

the car is unfortunately 'a roach'
cost as much to repair as replace

metal shrinking, expansion & buckling
after being annealed
subjected to that kind of heat

I smell a re-body (GYC :poke:)

IMO if not being 'a real Superbird', it'd be scrap metal

It was a garage fire. Insurance company paid out, but the story states that sadly it was not insured enough to cover the value of the car. The car is now apparently being sold by the insurance company. http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=3t106usljqqifddohmmtd65831&topic=133642.0

Does anyone know, would the engine block survive a fire like this and be rebuildable? Or items like the intake and such. The cast iron master cylinder is visible in one of the pics and seems to not be melted/damaged but it's hard to tell from the picture I'm mostly speculating. And if so what is a superbird engine block worth?

Man, that's downright depressing...
one for my homies.gif

Auction ended today. Last I saw it was up to $25,500 with a couple hours left. I didn't check back until the auction ended, and the site does not show the final hammer price. Just FYI.
