His Father was sitting in his recliner minding his own business watching a game! Broken ribs and in dyer condition in hospital.

I doubt the drunk in the car was hurt at all...

Sounds like you know more about this incident than we do... It's a shame the car & house are damaged, it's really terrible that the father was injured... Sounds like a drunk needs to go to jail and loose his license...

On a bunch of FB pages -

Sam Doty

Last night around 8:00 an intoxicated driver lost control of his 1970 Roadrunner, and drove through the front of my parents house. My Dad was sitting in his recliner watching a game when he was thrown across the room. He has 4 broken ribs and some other injuries and is in Lutheran hospital at ICU. My mom was out of town during the incident. I am asking for you prayer warriors out there to keep him in your thoughts. He has a long road ahead him thank you and God Bless!

big drag race developed at a party when I was 16....... Walt had a 70 Camaro, Greg in a 68 GTO........ Greg forgot to stop, crossed a highway, and up the front steps and onto the porch of the house across the street

needless to say, the party was over

all within walking distance of where I am currently sitting

Totally depends on your perspective, huh?
When I commented there were no facts about what happened, just the photos.
Knowing now he was drunk and almost killed the home onwer, then better if it was a solid wall or a structural post and the guy sitting in his recliner was unhurt.

You got a 70 Road Runner and you're driving intoxicated. You gotta be freakin' kidding me. Not that one should be drunk driving any car, but this is a special kind of dumbass.

I wasn’t trying to be negative at all, just showing that there are different ways to look at it.

Yeah, it’s not like an every day car for an every day drunk. I don’t take my car out all the time only when it’s nice out and I want to drive it. Certainly not after I’ve been drinking. Oh wait, I don’t drink.

I am seeing a number of cruise nights at local brewerys the past couple years and wonder how many classic car owners have a few while there and drive home? I think most of us are older and smarter now.

Are they sure he was drunk? Maybe he just had old BFG radial TA's in the back and hit the gas a bit too much... On a neighborhood street no less.

People install barriers at the edge of their yard for these kind of situations, especially at intersections and even straight road where cars are known to go sideways. There have been some pretty serious single vehicle crashes in DFW recently with people just driving too fast on wide but bumpy pavement.

Either way, that 70 should be repaired and sold to someone else, with appropriate compensation to the home owner.

Lol: Kind of off topic but I remember after having E-bodies for years I was restoring my 69 Hemi GTX. This was about 1990 or so. I had a friend over and I was telling him after owning E-bodies it was nice to work on a B-body and they just had that solid feel to them that you could drive it through a brick wall with not too much damage. Well, there you go...
