I'm new to the B body site and first time on the forum.
I have read many of the posts pertaining to the same problem I am having with my 1970 Roadrunner. The fuel and water temp gauges don't work and the oil pressure gauge is slow and barely moves. After reading all the posts regarding this I figured I needed a new voltage limiter. So, I pulled the gauge cluster out and to my surprise, it looks like someone before me had the same problem and replaced the whole "green board" with an aftermarket one made by Charger Specialties. Where the old voltage limiter would have been, it now looks like some sort of conversion to a solid-state limiter. It's not a plug in type, it's built in. I have tried to reach out to Charger Specialties but have learned they have sold out and moved on.
Has anyone else seen this or has an idea where I go from here? My next thought is to make sure I don't have a ground problem and install an additional one from the back of the gauge cluster to the dash frame somewhere.
Not sure what else to do. I'd appreciate any insight anyone may have.
Thanks so much!
