Hey guys, I am hoping a mopar nut can help me with this one. I am building a custom 69 satellite and I want to use the 70 RR hood with the cowl down the middle. I know the front edge is different and my body guy says no problem there. I need to know if the hoods are the same width and if the contour on the back edge of the hood is the same. Maybe someone has tried this before, but I couldn't find anything on it.

not a 69 hood but my body guy did it to a superbird hood for me

AWESOME CAR! Thanks for the pics. Hopefully my body guy can do as good a job as yours did.

this is a real superbird hood , and I didnt ruin a good superbird hood we saved it because it had been hacked in the middle and the metal just folded under . Then they bondo'ed a six pac scoop on it . I hated that look and made it awesome

You would have to cut the front off of the 69 hood and weld it onto the 70 hood. The width, and the rear of both hoods are the same.

I bought a '70 Satelite parts car once that had '69 fenders and hood, perfect fit.

If you used 1970 front fenders, you'd have no trouble at all using that 1970 hood. While you're at it, 1970 grill and bumper... :)
