Hello all new poster I just bought a 1970 Road Runner trying to make it as factory correct as possible. Purchased a new exhaust for it and from the factory no exhaust tips. I see road runners without exhaust tips the rear tailpipes come straight down.
the tailpipes that i purchased are kicked to one side on a angle is that correct? do the pipes come straight down under the bumper. thanks

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. Introduce yourself. There are some areas for you to check out on your info quest. The specific year section for your car plus the exhaust section.

Welcome to FBBO from Georgia.

Congratulations on the '70. Nice color too.

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras

if the car was org. sold in *Calif. "it will have *turndowns" from the factory
*tailpipes hugging the side of the fuel tank & straight out the back (On all the cars)
the Calif. car *turn downs exit just behind the rear bumper.
(straight out along side the fuel tank also)
48 State cars could have the fancy chrome & red tips (edited; that was 1971), (not sure about Hawaii cars)
like a grills surrounds machinegun muzzle break :poke: with red inside/chrome surrounds (1971 sorry)

a 70 could have chrome tips, the machine-gun tips were introduced on the 71 model year

Ooops, :BangHead: oh well, good catch...
In Calif. they had to have 'turn downs' if they were bought or even built here

One of my favorites for sure. Tell us more about you car!; and yourself if you don't mind. Also, how long did you look before finding a beauty like this one? Have you owned other Mopars?

Show us more pictures when you have a chance. We are incurable, insufferable photo hounds here on FBBO.

Nice car and welcome from the Inland Northwest, USA. It looks like you are near Perth. Nice area, and I enjoyed visiting there a while back.

My brother had a Sunfire Yellow 1970 RR in high school. That paint is a lighter yellow than what's on your car. His RR was a 383/Auto and had the same trunk lip stripe as yours.
