1971-1974 Rear Window Louvers

Has anyone actually bought this louver and installed it on a Dodge Charger 71-74??? They show it fits either Charger or Road Runner, but from what I understood, those louvers are different. If I remember correctly, the Charger louvers are longer on the sides, and the curvature of the quarter panel is different. Does anyone know another aftermarket manufacturer that makes anything that fits decent and looks decent. I don't want to go and try to find a factory one, as i already know what they cost. I have one on my 71 RR, but I would like something for my 72 Rallye Charger. I am thinking anything out there that would be reasonable, probably doesn't look too good, or fit worth a crap. Thanks for any advice.

They fit both Dodge and Plymouth because they only cover the back lite. They dont fit along the body like the originals.

That explains it. I appreciate the reply, fourforty6pac! I guess they are worth about what someone will pay for them. I'd love to see a set mounted on a Charger, just to check them out.

If you notice, whoever wrote the ad thought it was for a Challenger, not a Charger. Their pics show a Challenger and no it won't fit the SE Challenger because it has a different back window than a standard Challenger. All Chargers back glass are the same(71-74). I think it looks the best on an SE because it matches the side louvers. I'm putting a 71 RT hood on mine for the same reason. The part I can't get over is that these used to be $49.95 through JC Whitney! What we need to do is have a Club buy and see what we can get them for.

I have a 74 SE myself and as you mentioned the louvered rear window would enhance the look because of the opra louvered windows. I have the Bee hood and insert that isnt louvered like the RT but I like that I was able to put the call outs on the Bee insert.

I think a club buy is a great idea! I'd be in for that... well not yet as my bank account has taken a hit due to Xmas lol
