1971 B body with AC defrost vents to heater box

Ready to dive into my 71 RR heater box (w/ AC).

Getting pictures of everything before I start but I seem to have failed to document how the dash defroster vents tie in to the box.

The defroster duct has a triangle shaped flange but the heater box has a rectangle hole with an actuator running though it.

Am I missing a piece?

There is a seal that goes on it and it just sits on the hole when the dash is installed.
