1971 Plymouth Satellite Wagon Available With 383 Four-Barrel?

It's just harder to imagine a house-wife, mother-of-four driving a four-gear to get to the the Winn Dixie, church and baseball practice.
My mother's 383 4-speed wagon. Picture from 1964.

Very true about the manuals. In the early 2000’s I remember sending a jeep Cherokee to Poland, I use to fly over and spend a week or so trying to meet new contacts. One of the funniest things I remember on that trip was trying to explain to a guy that wanted to buy it( I dont speak Polish) how to drive an automatic vehicle, he literally had never seen one and didn’t understand how it worked. How things have changed.
When I was in the Dominican Republic a few years ago, almost everything was manual transmission. Even the transport busses and large Toyota vans. The driver said it was a "mechanical transmission", they didn't know the word "manual" for that application.

Speaking of ‘71-‘74 B body wagons… in my junkyard picking days I got a console mounted tape recorder out of a ‘72 Coronet wagon, and the “Ralley” instrument cluster with the 150 MPH speedo, but no tach, out of another loaded Crestwood wagon. Both had the 360 in them.

But… 360s were not available to B bodies up to 74. Until that, just C bodies got them. Maybe Changed along its lifes?

360 Magnum replaced the 340 Magnum on 74 for HiPo cars (Rallye in the case of the Charger), also available on 4 doors (standard engine, not Magnum), something what was not posible with 340s up to 73

BTW and just for the records and for those who don’t know, there is no 360 Magnum emblem for 74 Rallyes with 360 Magnum. Just says MAGNUM.

The two 71 N code wagons that I knew of both had Rallye dashes but were automatics. They did have duel snorkel air cleaners, hp exhaust manifolds with duel exhaust and 8.75 rears. Same drive train as a 71 N code RR.
