1972 Charger rebuild with Big block 400 and possible Stroker project

This will be my second Charger rebuild. My first was many years ago in 1999 at the ripe age of 15, and she became my first car. That car was a 73 Charger SE with the original 318, 727 automatic trans, slap stick, and factory moonroof. She didn't require much in rebuilding, mainly a few parts here and there, fuel tank, needed both rear quarters and new pans on driver and passenger front. My current project is a COMPLETE rebuild. What I have is just a shell. She's not even on all fours yet. Just purchased a Mopar Big Block 400 motor and 727 auto transmission and have started taking it apart to clean her up as well as rebuild her and possibly make her a Stroker. I haven't fully decided on that yet. I need lots of parts. Like ALL the parts really. ha. There's too many to list, but if anyone has any 1972 Charger or compatible parts, suspension, interior, steering, dash, etc, please message me what all you have, prices, pics if able, and location. This gal's in need!

She was orange. And was sold from under me without my knowledge as well by my father and have actually been searching for my car ever since. Not sure if that's the post you recall, but I did make that post in hopes of trying to find my original build!

PM sent. I’m redoing my 74 and replacing everything. So lots of parts available. Good parts as the car was purchased restored but the metal prep was bad so it’s being torn down and practically everything is being upgraded or replaced with new.

I'm thinking 451 stroker. But that would cost money and maybe slow the progress on the car. I wonder if that 400 would run?

I’ve got a 74 charger SE and a 72 charger SE. both have 400 motors stroked to 512. .absolute torque monsters

The main subject is how does one sell a car that belongs to someone else? Or was he also on title? And trust was broken?

I should have known that loss of one's first is rarely a happy ending. Im sorry. But the experience will serve you on your existing efforts. I think next is what do you envision with this build? That's what (I believe) dictates the most on parts and build. Being you have chosen a Big Block. Some performance is in the minds eye?

If you think your need for parts is "too many to list", and therefore want others to list what they have available, you have no understanding of how many parts many of us have accumulated.

You need to make your list if you really want to effectively collect the parts you need!

I am also working on a 72 I just picked up. My first was a 73 SE 318/904.
I have had really good luck with Andy out of Alabama. His pieces and parts are in excellent condition for original parts, he's very fair priced, and ships with UPS promptly. I'll attach his FB profile so you can reach out.
