Hi all, Im new to this site, and had some questions to ask about a Dodge charger SE. Im 16 and looking for a first car, but cant do anything the easy way so I want to find an old muscle car to fix up. I found a 1973 Dodge charger SE ( if you hadent found that out yet) and think it is a pertty good car to start fixing up. There is little rust and it has everthing to it, minus a few odds and ends. The motor is a 318 but used to be a 400 big block. the 400 blew up and the owner couldent find another so used a 318. Now the body and engine are pretty good but the interior is compleatly destroyed. a coon got in and ate it. All of the interior parts are still there and can be fixed up but teh dash is destroyes. My dad is going to help me out on this car and if i decide to rebuild another posible that one. He is very knowlageable and knows what to do. What he and I are lost at is how to find or get ahold of a new dash. The one in it is not fixible by a long shot. So if someone could help me out on this, or any information in general on what i could do to the car, like paint style customizeing, removal of vinal, any thing that would be great. I dont have the car yet but i plan too, the guy wont sell it to anyone as long as i plan to buy it. Btw it is for only 900 so its a pertty good deal.

Welcome. Most everything you need is available from somewhere. You might get lucky and find a dash pad that someone wants to part with, or you might have to go to Just Dashes in Kalifornia to get one restored. It's expensive, but they do good work. You might also want to post in the "Parts Wanted" section for the parts you need to locate.
