I was wondering where I could get the trim/gasket that goes around the front and rear bumpers for my 1974 Charger. I have heard before that a earlier model gasket creates a tighter fit to. Does anyone know where I can find these at? Thanks Kevin

I can almost swear I've seen them on ebay from time to time.

Kevin, do you mean the rubber fillers that go around the front and rear on the Charger? There is a fellow that is in the southern portion of New York that was doing them. Someone said he is only doing the fronts now because he did a batch of rears and they didn't sell. If you want to PM me, I can send you his email.
There are some used ones on EBay right now however.

I am actually keeping my eyes open for information to cut/chop the tabs, suck the bumpers and weld them nice and tight to the frame/fenders.

Google search these bumper fillers. There's a site that is rounding up a petition for 500 signatures to have a company re-produce these filler panels. The last time I looked, they had 96 signatures. Good luck... I'm in the market for them as well. Check these sites:

~~~or just type in 74 Dodge Charger Bumper Fillers>>>Lots of information
Hope this helps.
In order to bring the 73/74 bumpers in closer, you need 71/72 mounts for the rear, and to slot your 73/73 mounts for the front.
You could cut the rear mounts down, but the angle will not line up after the cut- you'll have some moderate fab work to get it right, and maybe as much in labor and materials as just buying 71/72 mounts.
Welding the bumpers to the body sounds pretty permanent (and difficult due too extreme metal gauge difference).
I've seen it done with filler, but we all know what eventually happens to that
I have a rear filler (all three pieces) from a 74 that's in fair shape.
Both studs broken on one end piece, some rust bulging on the metal inside the rubber, and the rubber is discolored and stress cracking.
IIRC the front is only a single center section.
I have that as well, but it has chunks missing out of the corners.
I'm interested in selling, and it's better than nothing.
Just received a note from the person that was making these fillers. He has no stock left, and at present will not be making more. He needs minimum 10 orders just to cover the cost of materials, not his time. Possibly the members on this site that want the fillers, could get together and submit a huge order list. The cost of the fillers might seem expensive, but nobody else seems to be making them. I have purchased the 3 front pieces, and the quality is great.
I just used the 71-72 rear mounts and slotted the fronts on mine. if you are looking to do a totally stock look I feel your pain!
Where did you buy your rear mounts? I am not going to do a stock look because it has been modified already and I like it better not stock.
Rather than going through all that work, it would MUCH easier to simply get some 71-72 brackets, don't you think?
71/72 mounts don't work in the front because of the isolated K frame change.
This makes them be about an inch too low/too high depending on how you look at it.
MUCH easier to just slot the 73/74 fronts.
71/72 rear mounts are a bolt on to a 73/74.
