I bought this car yesterday and it had been sitting in a field for over 20 years and hadn’t moved. We dug it out and hauled it home. It cleaned up well. It is a factory 400 car but now has a 1970 383 in it. Basic tune up and fresh gas and it fired right up and ran unbelievably smooth. I’m more of an A body with two dusters but this car has a lot of really cool factory options. AC, cruise control, rear speaker control, rally dash and buckets with a buddy seat. All lights even work. I ordered brake parts and can’t wait to take it for a drive. Located in west Michigan.

Unfortunately the fender tag is gone.

I got the interior removed and tossed the “ratty” carpet. The floor pan is unbelievably solid for sitting in a Michigan field for over 20 years. I have two patches to do in the floor then new sound deadener and carpet will go it. The seats cleaned up pretty well, im going to try to dye what’s there as they are in pretty darn good shape overall. Brake parts have arrived so after spring break I will get back to work. I also got the old oil out and new in.

I know a lot of people like to put slap stick consoles in these cars that came with column shift.

I'd advise you to drive it for a while with that center arm rest, then remove the arm rest and drive it for a while.

You may change your mind about swapping in a console.

I’m partial to the arm rest. Both of my A Bodies have bench seats with a folding arm rest. I’ve owned other Mopars with no arm rest and that arm rest isn’t going anywhere. This car will not be a hot rod, rather a cruiser that I can jump in and drive it anywhere.
