1974 Charger: Why so many numbers & signs on such a small emblem?

So what do these numbers and signs actually mean?

- 31700-2 (the other door emblem says 31700-1), the 1 and 2 for left and right/right and left? The emblems seem to be exactly the same so why bother? What about 31700?
- 55062, what does this represent?
- 3506410, part no I am pretty sure of
- stamp with 3 in it, for build year? And what do all the dots mean?
- set of dots on the right partly covered with a humb of metal...?
