Going in a cruise to Cozumel, not really enthused about it...dont gamble, dont drink and not into production shows.... only thing Im looking forward to is swimming with some sharks with my youngest, shes a shark fanatic. Would rather have flown and spent several days there but my daughter cant fly...

LOL!!!! They dont bother me , Im more worried about the Cartel blowing something else up while we're there though..I don't really want to go any place I cant carry my weapon...
..When I was her age maybe younger I wanted to be a marine biologist...weve been watching all the old episodes ...she is upset that we will be gone when the new season starts

I went on a cruise a couple of years ago with the family and in-laws. It wasn't bad. The food was excellent, which was a main attraction. We stopped at Cozumel too. I booked a dive trip for me, my son and my daughter. The one through the cruise line was more than double the cost of the one I booked online through a local dive shop. It was a decent outfit and the equipment was pretty new and in good shape. The dive boat was small and there was only another couple on board which was a plus to me.
It was the 5 of us plus the divemaster and he led us on a nice couple of dives. Some of the other boats I saw going out had 20+ divers on board, which is too large of a group, IMO. There's a travel alert for Cozumel now though because of all the drug cartel violence in Mexico, so I would think twice about using the local dive shop again. I would imagine the cruise line would vet the outfit they use and take security into consideration. Enjoy the time with your daughter !!!!!

I've been on 2 cruises and really enjoyed them, like anything else it's up to you to make the best of it. Although I might enjoy a drink I don't enjoy it amongst strangers and certainly not drunks but it wasn't an issue at all. The gambling was self contained where if you didn't go there you didn't even realize it was there so just look for what interest you. The biggest benefit of cruises to me is being able to completely relax and not worry about food or anything else. As for Cozumel I don't get the craze for it other than the snorkeling and diving is great, just a flat weedy island with no real beauty outside of the shores. My experience has been the Mexicans are very pushy and not overly polite so limit your interactions with them especially the souvenir shops.

We did go snorkeling and although it scared the **** out of me we did see plenty of fish and stingrays. Enjoy

We go cruising twice each year for the past 10. Have hit Cozumel many times. Really nothing to worry about. Food is quite good and of course there are all of the souvenir shops. Other than downtown and at the port entry, the island is flat and empty. It does have great diving and snorkeling. Enjoy

I guess one of the biggest things that bothers me is that the family waited so late to decide where to go for vacation, it really limited our options . My daughter has to be at school next week to bring in the new cadets.
I thought we were going back to Destin or Gulf Shores and spend a few days..The cruise is 4 days and 1 stop which to me seems like a waste of time...maybe Ill change my mind afterwards....Im not a beach guy either but really enjoyed Destin last year...

Eat and relax.
Cozumel is nice. Great water activities.

I’m sure the price was great (most cruises are a great bargain) and it’s only a few days.

I can’t stand the casinos on the ships. Nothing but tobacco addicted folks. (One of the only places you could smoke on the ships I’ve been on)
I try to stay clear of the casino deck altogether.
