I’m trying to help a friend who doesn’t use the forums find a pair of 15x8 steel wheels that will accept the 9” dog dish hubcaps for his new Fury.

Price shipped to 95695 please.

Seems like the 4” BS would put the tire closer to the fender which might help it look more full with less tire. It’s a survivor 426 wedge car so I don’t think he wants much more than a 275/60r15.

I have a 62, with (I think) a 65 rear in it. A bit wider than the stock 62/63, narrower than a 64.
I'm using a 15x8 1/2 centerline with 4 7/8 bs, but with a .300" spacer, cause I've got the biggest slick on it I could fit. A smaller tire might be fine without the spacer.
I've also got a pair of 15x8 with 4 3/4 bs. With a smaller tire, (10x28 slick) they fit great.
So.... it definitely depends on year and axle.
Stock 62/63 axle. Either should be fine, 4"bs might fill the wheelwell better
64? Possible neither will fit. Might need 5+" bs. Better answer might be a 15x7 with 4" or more bs.
Non stock axle? Who knows, I don't. Time to get out the tape measure.

What early B-body are we talking about? EDIT:.#5 posted while I was typing, (slowly).

64 or 65? Makes a BIG difference!
Going on the Black 64 in the pic? He'll need the 4 1/2 bs, at least.
I tried to put my 15x8 4"bs wheels, with 255s, on a member here's 64 polara. Wouldn't even come close to fitting. Would have needed at least 5"
Time to do some measuring on the car..... or maybe just settle for 15x7 and 255s.

I am probably overlooking something, but where does it say what size dog dish fits those wheels from Summit?

It’s the 64 in the pic, it’s a survivor car, stock everything except the PO added rallye wheels.

The thing that I didn't consider was the tire bulge. The 4 1/2 backspace had plenty of room until I mounted the tires. The tire was 1/8" from my springs. I added a 1/4" billet spacer and all is good. 275/60/15 Cooper Cobras. A 4 1/4 backspace would have been perfect if you could find one. (1962 Dodge Polara.)

There's basically only two sizes of Mopar dog dishes, 9" and 10", and NOBODY makes a wheel for the 10". Centers only are available from a member here, but then you have to find someone with a hoop, and ability to weld a wheel together.

Edit: the original cap on a 64 B would be a 10". (I think the early Abodies are 9", but don't hold me to that.)

....but you still have that skinny 62 axle, don't you?

Pull the rear rallye wheel off, and measure the backspace. Check how close the tire is to the spring first. That should give you an idea where the extra width on the wider wheel needs to be.
