Not my car. The mother of my kids, 2008 Mustang GT/CS. Its been sitting in the garage uncovered for 2 years. It's very dusty. It might have 6000 miles on it.
Just wondering about the best way to wash it. I was thinking power wash at the self serve car wash first. Without touching it with a sponge or cloth of any type.

That should work.....get as much off of it as possible then wash it by hand. Why was it left to sit for so long. Also make sure the gas in it is still good before firing it up.

Only 4200 miles on it. It just wasn't / isn't a piority for her. We're getting divorced. Just filed last week.
Just put a new battery in it. It fired right up. The gas is good enough for who it's for.

There ya go. Then when she calls you up to tell you something is wrong with it, tell her you can't fix and will take it off her hands for her for $500. Then change the gas and sell it for big $$$$$$$$$$$.

I haven't moved out yet. I would be the last person on earth she'd call. That might change someday, but not anytime soon.

feel for ya... wouldn't wish that on anyone; been there done; done that. daughter got married this past weekend, first time I've talked to my ex in 13 years.... i will tell ya it does get better.

I'm very happy with my Coronet thank you. It'll burn her *** later when I buy a convertable Mustang. Best revenge is to live happy and prosper.

Yep. Good attitude, and good luck.

I agree with Cranky, powerwash only (no brush), then hand wash gently after. Some real **** detailing guys will say even the powerwash is bad for the clearcoat because of how high the pressure is and the harsh chemicals in those places. But considering your situation, it doesn't need to stay "show quality".

She took it a power washed it tonight. Turns out it was almost out of gas. 40 miles to empty. She took the kids and I heard her flog it from about a quarter mile away. Sounds good for an all factory 4.6.
