Any of you guys work on these or know anything about them? I have a friend that has a 2005 and the cluster or input shaft bearing sounds like it's ready to fly out of the case. Also it pops out of 4th.

What kind of a nightmare can I expect taking it out?
What special tools are required to disassemble it? I imagine there are some.
Does anyone have any documentation on the tranny like a factory manual?

I did some searching but all I got was a bunch of unrelated BS and used car values. I need the dirt on this thing!

Thanks.

A buddy of mine takes them apart on the srt4 neons, same trans, trans mount is a torques, don't remember the size sry, think 6 bolts hold it to the block, plus the 3 bolts for the starter, just need metric sockets, I believe the bolts from trans to motor are 18mm, if its the same clutch as the neons you'll need to unbolt the clutch from the flexplate like a torque converter, and remove both drive shafts, unbolt them from the hubs, and I found it easier to remove the shafts with the struts unbolted from the hub assembly, get more movement to pull the splines from the hub. After that just unbolt the case and everything comes out as one piece.
