I'm thinking about attending the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals (first time) in July and was curious if anyone had any success in selling their car there.

I realize it means pricing it right and a willing buyer and seller must agree but....are there real buyers there or a lot of scavangers looking to steal something? The entry form also asks for a preferred location...any suggestions there?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks

One way to look at it is you will be surrounded by Mopar fanatics... there will always be scavengers and dreamers anywhere you go. But there will definitely be legit and informed buyers who will appreciate what you have. If it doesn't cost too much I would go ahead.

It may have to do with what you are selling and how much.I bought a car there. Plane Jane Volare' slant 6 wagon for $4000 and drove it back to Nevada.
A friend took his 64 Hemi Savoy and was a no sale asking $55,000. Lots of lookers and people saying"It sure is worth that ." But not one offer.
I know that you can get a covered building space or out in the field. The higher end cars are in or around the building.

A great event to sell or buy a car . I have bought 2 myself there . I see you are in fla. If you go how would you get car there ??

I'm in Ocala. If I make the trip I'll trailer the car and if sold look for another project. I'd like to find a 64 Sport Fury/Belvedere or 64 Polara 440/330.

I finished (well mostly finished) this one 6 months ago.

Drive it down to melbourne FL show on the 30th. Show it and stick a for sale sign in it

Cars change hands at Chryslers @ Carlisle -- both from spots in the vending area and in the car corral....It is a tremendous venue with over 100,000 Mopar Fanatics -- and we hear and see about car sales and trades all weekend long... they have a Notary right on the grounds... so you don't even have to worry about "next week"....
