Good

so should Pro-mod "the other white meat"
Top-Sportsman (T/S) doored cars
&/or the new factory X, more doored car on 9" slicks,
highly modified COPOs DragPaks Cobras all capable of running in the 6's

but they won't, just the 4 established "pro" classes

Mostly/sometimes & I still think idiots run NHRA
or TV coverage
(& it gets bumped a lot by stick & ball BS, they need to grow a damn set)
They seemingly don't know who their real base is
95% are sportsman racers who participate
I'd like to see more of that

& not all the throttle stop/delay box BS brackets,
10.90 S/ST, 9.90 S/G, 8.90 S/C boring *** on the brakes or throttle stop ****,
launch 0.00? lite & then kill all the power, for x amount of time
Grama could run one of them now, from the damn grand stands
with an 8.90 or better car that runs in 9.90 class at 155-160
a 7.50 car mostly dragsters now, few altereds, running in S/C 8.90 class
or a hi-9's or low 10 sec. car running in S/ST 10.90 brackets/classes
(throttle stopped, air shifted & delay boxed to hell, damn near remote controlled)
filled with electronics gizmos
& then run the guy down, out the back door or slam on the brakes Yawn'
Not at a national event

I'd like to see more of the heads-up, or S/S, Stock Eliminator
or Comp Eliminator classes, national index stuff,
not all the remote controlled BS cars full of drivers aided electronics stuff
I'd like to see way more "Real racecars"

I've been enjoying the "Nostalgia/Vintage (sort of) F/C stuff"
I wish the coverage would be far more, more televised anyway

the TV crowd (so the networks all think) all they seem to care about is
T/F or F/C @ 1000'
(IMO been going down since they went to 1,000')
P/S or P/SM @ 1320' at least it's still a full 1/4 mile
(P/S is getting boring as hell Pro-Camaro class, all GM powered, all seemingly
now "Elite Racing 8-12 'rental/leased cars/motors' & a couple 4 KB/Titan cars")
limited gear ratios & limited rpm BS
(barely running what they used to with carbs, after years of EFI now)
it's drag racing
it's supposed to be, see who's fastest, within a rule set
let them choose gears, rpms & electronics etc.
not all kinds of **** to make them not run faster, within that rule set
Yawn

sorry someone has to say it

Maybe he spoke a little too soon?

Congratulations to 'Budnicks' (FBBO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 21st and final event of the 2023 NHRA season, the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals with an outstanding, and almost perfect, total of 31.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifiers in Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle and the #2 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!

'alsant' (FBBO) was right behind with 29.5 bonus points.
The top FABO pickers were 'cuda20' and 'stroked340' with 29.0 bonus points each.
More great picks!

Remember, elimination round win points are "points-and-a-half" for this event. Each round win will be worth 15 points instead of 10.

We have 15 players again this week and 15 different driver combos made up of:
* 7 different Top Fuel drivers with two Round 1 head-to-head matchups. One between #3 qualifier Antron Brown (2 picks) and #14 qualifier Clay Millican (1 pick), and the other between #8 qualifier Justin Ashley (1 pick) and #9 qualifier Brittany Force (4 picks). There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations if both drivers survive Round 1.
* 6 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchups between #7 qualifier Ron Capps (2 picks) and #10 qualifier Tim Wilkerson (1 pick). There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in round 2 of eliminations if both drivers survive Round 1.
* Only 2 different Pro Stock drivers. One in the top half of the bracket and one in the bottom half. They could only meet head-to-head if both drivers survive the early rounds and they meet in the final round of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations if both drivers survive Round 1.

Good luck all!

Nice qualifying, Bud!

I was glad to see Doug Kalitta finally get his championship. It was also nice to see Dan Wilkerson get his first win as a tuner along with Chad Green. And with Tim in the finals against them.

Yeah 3 of them went out in the semis IIRC
P/SM Herrera was my only win

good to see Chad Green won F/C finally, he was due,
sad it came at the expense of Wilksy

Hagan was a class act in his win & championship
ultimate lows to the highest of highs in a few min.s time
I really thought Hight had it (Championship) for sure
went up in smoke, he had the car to beat...

Doug Kalita, finally the bride instead of her bridesmaid...
1st Championship after 26 (?) tries/years

not sure how I ended up points wise

I can't wait!
Watch for the 2024 game notice post sometime in February. Come on back and bring your friends!
