Man, don't even say that. I live right along the coast and have felt several smaller quakes, but I'm hoping that I will be long gone before the big one hits. I looked into adding earthquake insurance to my homeowners a few years ago but it is very expensive even for a stick built house. I just flat can't afford it.
I know man, I felt the same way living on the Atlantic shore South of Charleston SC. Hugo took us out completely.

I was stationed at FT Lewis WA from 1980-1983 and was there when Mt St Helens blew up. What a sight. Looked like a nuke had gone off and that was from 75 miles away. We worried about a huge quake all of the time. Small ones are in nerving but no problem. The big one will drop the ground about 30 feet and move it ocean ward about 1/4 mile all at once. Nothing is going to survive that ****.

If it works just right I'll have that oceanfront property I've always wanted. I always try to look for a bright side.:D
