Howdy all, I purchased 1962 belvedere to restore, learning a lot from this forum, THANKS!
I was thinking I'd rebuild my motor, gathering knowledge and looking out for deals. What about this I found for sale:
Why the weird oil pan?
Also, my poly has two bolts to hold valve cover, this one three. I couldn't find much info on the difference, if it matters?
Deciding ....
Thanks

I has a four barrel intake, which is on my list of upgrades.. It is advertised as rebuilt, but I'll take that with a grain of salt. they're asking $800

The oil pan could be a newer pan considering it is blue. But oil pans change shape a lot but the basic idea and general shape is rarely changed. A rear sump is often found in trucks.

A 3 bolt valve cover is harder to find but it is stock.

Good luck with it, enjoy!

4B intake is worth almost half of the asking price.

Thanks Glenwood, Yea, the more I look at pics it seems the truck pans are deeper in front; makes me wonder if oil pick-up is located differently as well. I could always swap that out though.

It's a truck pan. 4 bbl stock intakes go for $500 by themselves. Find out the rebuild specs as many blocks can be bored close to .100". Probably built to stock specs. I have some poly build specs I will post from scans. Got them from Gary Pavlovich.

Here is the spec sheet sent to me by Gary. Just some ideas. There is always a stroker build if you want to make 400 hp give or take.
