340 exhaust manifolds

Someone told me these were better than headers to go on a 340. I found a pair on craigslist for $275. Would they be worth it?

There are a couple of different castings for the 340, Do you know what year these were from?

Better than headers can be a lot of things. Installing a set of headers on my 71 340 Cuda made a positive difference but required a bit more maintenance. Tube headers won't last for nearly forever either. Just depends on what you are looking to do with the car....

those are the manifolds. my charger's just gonna be a fast, street legal car when i'm done with it

I think you would see better performance out of headers, the really good cast exhaust manifolds are the `69/`70 units and they don't come cheap.
