Jorge Eguia is a scam artist and incompetent mec and a blatant thief, do business at you own risk
There is one thing that Jorge has presented accurately, my name is David Lichterman.
I only write this message so that other people on the board do not have to be his victim as well…
Anyone is welcome to contact me directly anytime for details....these are facts not opinions...and i have pictures and documentation to prove what I am saying is accurate...
Now I imagine Jorge Eguia will claim all sorts of things...here are the facts... I paid Jorge tens of thousands of dollars to do work and unfortunately, he delivered to me a mess and committed fraud on many levels along the way...
1. the engine I paid him thousands of dollars to "build" has never ran properly and had 1 cylinder never working, never fired once, a push rod was laying in the engine off the lifter...(among other improperly and poorly installed internal parts)
2. The internal engine parts i purchased from him and he installed are cheap chinese knock off's of what he agreed to sell me (and i agreed purchase from him )(pistons, head gasket, rings, crank)
3. He stole my credit card and fedex # and he has continued to use them illegally, long after our business was finished, actually just a few days ago...
4. every single mechanical item he has installed has to be re-installed and/or repurchased because of how poorly the work was done., from transmission, ac, fuel lines, brakes, calipers installed upside down... the incompetence he has demonstrated is incredible..
5. He stole a brand new tubular k frame and many many engine parts, (I suspect they are sitting in another 440 he is trying to sell)
6. The heads he sold me are junk and unusable they are so pitted and the valves don’t seat properly.
7. I paid him to "paint the car" , his version of an excellent job as he claims is to paint over rust so that new paint is literally falling off and needs a new paint job...
8. he failed to meet even 1 deadline and stretched out a 4-6 month build to almost 16 months and when it was all done, he handed me the car back in pieces, unusable and not working after I paid him tens of thousands to complete the car
9) when I demanded my car be returned, he “closed his shop” and many many many parts disappeared, including some brand new parts I had sent him for installation.
This is really just to name a few items... the list goes on and on...there are many other items....
Jorge has refused to respond to my many communications, Interesting, the only response Jorge Eguia has given, is to this posting, where I am calling him out on the blatant lies and fraud. I have tried direct contact with him, but he refuses to respond until now. Angry? No. I will simply not do business with him again and he has cost me over a year and tens of thousands of dollars that I paid him for parts and labor where the work and/or parts promised was either not completed at all, completed incompetently, cheap parts were installed where high end parts were paid for (by me), or parts he sold me are functionally unusable.
I have had many excellent interactions with people on this board (s) including the purchasing of cars and/or parts....and just be warned, Jorge Equia is not an honest man... so buyer beware...his comments about the supercharger store are foolish, I have an excellent working relationship with Bob and Terry, and the have been awesome in their support and helping me in fixing the mess jorge created,
I have made my mistakes, by trusting Jorge, who seemed like an honest guy who did good work.... I was wrong about that one... and I feel a little foolish for being so trusting, but now you all know and can hopefully learn from my mistake.
