Fresh rebuild. Carb to pan, fan to back end. 4 coats of correct color 62 engine green (turquoise). Excellent base if you want to change the color.
HP exhaust, egg pistons 30 over, professionally rebuilt machine shop. everything external and internal is NEW.
NOS J11 Champions. Crane comp cam.
I had it rebuilt for my 64 Savoy only to find out that it has the extended crank and will not work with my application without changing out the crank.
Correct me if I am wrong, I was told it is only correct for 61 and back applications.
Recently picked up another one I took them which will be correct engine for the Savoy. Lesson learned.
Currently 2V.
Includes a 2X4 intake. Less carbs.
I am not a engine aficionado so if you ask me technical questions I will have to ask the guys at the shop.
This is the 5th engine I have had them build with out exception each one never had any issues.

Why not just change out the crankshaft, rather than go through another complete engine rebuild?

It would have to go back to the shop to have a different crank installed, if they could find one.
Their lead time is 18 months or more at this time.
