383 and 440 heads?

Can someone tell me;
1- Will 440 heads fit a 383?, and
2- if so what would be the performance gain; and
3- how can one tell the difference between 440 closed chamber and open chamber heads?

1.) they're the same heads, so yes

2.) None, they're the same, the difference is going to be in the different casting numbers of the heads... Mopar Muscle did an article about stock big block heads which is a pretty good read

I have a matched set of 69 Date coded factory 906 heads that where redone years ago never installed,still in the bags from the machine shop PM me if interested
