Hi all!
Anyone have any idea where this goes??
I found it in a bucket with the disassembled parts from when I took my 383 motor apart.
Not sure If I just dropped it in there and it's from somewhere else, or what.

Any ideas??

Kinda looks like a crank bushing for a stick car.But I haven't seen one with a split in it.

It could be a part off of my boat for all I know....
I don't remember taking it off and can't figure out where it goes...
Thanks for the responses!

There is a split bushing kinda like that in the rear ear of the alt. do not remember it brass though. Measurement would be nice.??

Also reminds me of a part from a boat. Boats have brass bushing to prevent sparks in the engine compartment. Kinda looks as if it maybe from a mercruiser.

It doesn't look brass to me. I'd say it's steel with some dirt/rust. What it looks like is the bushing that goes in one of the mounting ears of the alternator. Otherwise if it's large enough for a 1/2" bolt to go through it might be a cylinder head aligning sleeve/dowel/pin for an FE Ford.
