What is this from?

While searching for headliner trim clips (never found them so posted in WTB section) I came across this spring in my pulled parts box. Looks like something from the hood latch? I have no idea. It’s 2-1/4” tall.

Can anyone identify?

There should be a mounting area on the core support or hood. Not sure exactly where a 70 b-body goes. I would lean towards the core support/header panel.
