4:10 posi 8-3/4 axle for B body

FOR SALE - a 4:10 rear axle out of my 65' Satellite. Housing number is 489. It locks up good, no noise, compete from backing plate to backing plate. New lug bolts in both axles. ~$700 Portland Oregon area, 97005

Also have a manual steering box out of the same car ~$50

I am not sure, I thought I read it will fit 62-66 B bodies. Maybe some other forum member knows for sure.

Yup. It may be a slightly different width, but no problem.

Best bet is you both measure axle flange to axle flange and distance between leaf spring mounts nd compare notes.

One more question might be if the pinion shadt is a little longer or shorter, would you need a different drive shaft? Not sure on that one.

I have the 4:10 suregrip rear axle assembly still, 489 case ready to bolt in, leaf spring mounts are 44.5" center to center. Axle flange surface to surface is 59". It is in great condition.
