Seems to turn fine to me....no grinding or excessive play

410 sure grip still for sale

Yes but has 72 date on ring gear ....idk

.....not sure what is up with all the individual small grind marks on it???......never seen this before?…....

That is an indication the pinion nut got loose and the pinion gear was pulled into the carrier... It could have happened with the previous gears or it could have happened with the current gears... Hence Kimmers request for pictures of the pinion gear... Either way it's a cone style SG.....

Not hiding anything old kimmer you want to call me out here you go.......stated in original ad just pulled from parts car ...don't know history and don't know what grind marks are from .....if you are rear end expert that's fine ....I am not !!!!

I don’t claim to be a rear ending expert. But I have set up about a hundred or so. I wanted to see 2 things. If the marks were from this set of gears or not. Yes they are. And if the gears were running off the end of the pinion. No they are not. Pinion nut definitely came loose. It may need a new crush sleeve. Kim
