Has anyone done a Hemi swap from the top? Wanting to know the tricks. This is my first Hemi. I have a 68 road runner 383. I am reusing my transmission so I am leaving it in. I have conversion mounts. My car is manual steering and manual brakes. I am running factory exhaust manifolds. I have access to an engine plate, engine leveler, or just a chain. Will it fit with both exhaust manifolds installed? Wanting to hear from anyone with experience. Thanks!

I have pulled and replaced 426 hemis multiple times, no tricks needed. remove hood, use a chain fall hoist the engine is heavy cherry pickers tip. The chain fall lets you lower it straight in. When using the engine leveler or chain keep the attachment as flush as possible on the firewall side very little clearance there. Install the heat tubes if you use them before install, leave the tube to the H pipe loose. Get someone to help guide into place. Yes it fits with the manifolds on. Have fun.
