I have a what may be a 426 TMPHC made in November 1962 from a factory short block. The stamp font is wrong so I am trying to document the parts. It has OEM 2463987 STD pistons in it ......the dome doesn't look like 13.5 to me but I can't cross this number. They are new so the number is very clear. Does anyone have this number associated with a 426? What is the cr for this? I am also trying to determine if the cylinder notches are machined or ground (Someone who has actually seen them and not just a picture as I need to know if the bottom is radiused).

Any help is appreciated.

Like to be able to afford a set!
I will post pics, complete engine with 10 2 62 casting date, Heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, h pipe, carbs, race pan. Here is the rub.... its stamped 426TMPHC 11 13 62 on a factory original MOPAR short engine and the fonts are all wrong (don't match the factory production line motors). Only thing I can figure is that the short block was built up for someone that ran drag for a spare and someone else then built it to run closed track and lowered the compression. As it sits... this last build (apparently in 64) was never ran. Pistons are still new.
It is for sale and will be posted.

1964 11:1 compression.
Machined
Is the bottom radiused or was it a sharp cornered cutter?

A piston close up (note you can still see a marker line) and the second pic is the bank I pulled the head on with all four. Sitting for 50 years they are revealed.

Enjoy
