Have a 1965 426 street wedge I'm putting together. Engine is in pieces. Trying to find answers. From the factory the cam solid or hydraulic? Adjustable or non adjustable rockers?
There are non adjustable rockers in the box.
Thanks for answers
Jim

Hydraulic and non adjustable rockers. Had one in a 65 Fury II 4 door.

Cam is pretty mild from the factory. Later 440 magnum cam is a nice but subtle upgrade.

It would have had 516 heads originally.

Make sure the springs are suitable for the new cam.

Here is a picture of a 426 Street Wedge I put together almost 20 years ago. I used "452" heads on it with Street Hemi valve springs. This gave it hardened valve seats, plus dropping compression down around 9.25 to better deal with today's fuels. I used Mopar Performance 440 Magnum spec cam. Intake and carbs were 1962 Chrysler 300H. It ran well, with a nice lopey idle. The 2 fours were nice eye candy, drawing lots of looks at car shows in my '64 Polara 500 convertible.

Nice looking car!!!
Going with genuine stock factory car. Motor is for a 65 coronet 500. Guy I got it from has been collecting parts for 8 years. Wanting to continue. It is a car from Grand Spalding Dodge.
