440 Big Block Vapor Separator

Does anyone know how often to change the vapor separator or what are the symptoms of a faulty one.

Since it's not a filter it doesn't need to be changed unless it leaks.... As far as being faulty allot of the repo's were faulty from new, they didn't restrict the return line so to much fuel would return to the tank & the car would have low fuel pressure & run lean.... The fix is a #60 Holley jet in the 1/4" rubber return hose just downstream of the separator...
