I have a bunch of blocks and I’m going through all the ones I won’t use. I bought a lot of them from an old machine shop and I’m guessing that’s were this one came from. One side is bored .030 and the other side is standard. I rolled it over to clean it up amd look at the dates and I broke the bottom ear off. Is this block worth anything since I broke the ear and it’s partially machined or is it a boat anchor? Thanks for any help

The ear is an easy fix. The bore only on one side would bother me. Why? Did the machinist see something? As far as what is it worth? Not much of anything without a mag and sonic test.

A decent date coded 1967 Block is worth

Saving !

Someone working on a 67 Project would

Appreciate that I’m sure . Plus it’s an HP

Block.

Already 1/2 complete with boring , have it

Cleaned & Magged to ensure it’s OK

Before going further …

But YEAH you potentially have a jewel !

Hey Date Code Danny !! What Say You ?

Mopar2ya!

John

I don’t think the early 68 production stuff was stamped.

Another possibility is it landed in a C body, and they weren't as concerned about stamps in those plants
